My name is Christian Dam and I’m a fulltime knifemaker, bladesmith based in Bergslagen, Sweden.

I started forge with a wheel driven, mobil coal forge, small farm anvil and whatever tong and hammer I could find. Spending hours on end, into trials and errors, I’m pretty much autodidact. I do have people that I see as mentors who have been very generous with their knowledge and time.

I still keep it simple. Gas forge, two robust anvils and a small, very old, spring hammer.

My knives and how I work is insprired by traditional craftmanship from Sweden and Japan. My main aim is to always keep learning and getting better in combining aesthetics and perfomance.
